Someone asked me about what I learnt first in my art career so I drew this in the stream~
I remember the very first thing that we did in a traditional art class was to repetitively draw lines as in the ones on the left. The purpose is to be comfy with using them in a variety of directions. If you think of it, art is really just a combination of hundreds and thousands of lines!
The next things I learnt was anatomy and setting very light guidelines for yourself to draw on. Of course you can’t see it here because of the privilege of digital art.
But yeah, afterwards, we have to go through magazines and draw portraits from the models/people we see. The portrait is an example I guess, but I drew it from my mind in like under 10 minutes. The ideal is to make it quick, clean and with strokes that are very definitive.
So yeah, just for peeps who are curious~
With pepperoni, bacon, mushroom and some chopped herbs, well, and a rather unusual extra topping, it seems~
